BOGS UK & EU Returns Policy & Refund Policy

This page covers returns for both UK and EU customers.
Please read the section that applies to your region below to find the correct return instructions and contact details.

UK Returns Policy

We want shopping with BOGS® to be easy and risk-free.

If your order isn’t quite right, you can return or exchange it within 30 days of receiving it, provided the item is in new, unused condition and in its original packaging.

Returns should include the original shoe box, labels, and any accessories supplied with your order.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions or that are received outside the 30-day window.

Exchanges

Not quite the right size? No problem - exchanges are completely free and easy.

Simply select the exchange option in our returns portal and follow the steps provided. Exchanges are subject to stock availability and are processed once your original item has been received and checked.

If your preferred exchange item is unavailable, you’ll be offered a refund instead.

What if my shoes are faulty or incorrect?

If you believe your item is faulty or incorrect, please don’t send anything back until we’ve checked it out.

 Email us at hello@bogsfootwear-uk.com with your order number and photos (including the outsole), and we’ll take it from there.

If the product is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect, we’ll cover all return or replacement costs in line with UK consumer law.

Where possible, please return the shoes clean, dry, and in their original packaging so we can safely inspect them. 
We understand that some faults may only become apparent after use, so this won’t affect your right to a refund or replacement under UK consumer law.

How We Process Refunds

Refunds are not issued at the point a return is registered. Refunds are processed once returned goods have been received and inspected at our warehouse.

When you return an item and a refund is approved, we process the refund securely through the same payment method you used for your purchase.

If you paid using Shopify Payments (for example, by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay), the refund is securely processed by Shopify Payments, which is powered by Stripe.
The funds are sent back to your original payment method, and we do not store or handle your card details. Refunds typically appear in your account within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank or card provider.

If you used another payment provider such as PayPal, Klarna, or another external gateway, your refund will be handled directly by that provider under their own terms and privacy policy.

All refunds are issued in accordance with UK consumer law and our Returns Policy.

Conditions of Return

- Items must be returned within 30 days of receipt.
- Products must be in new, unused condition, with original packaging where possible.
- Faulty items can be returned even if worn, provided the fault is not caused by misuse or normal wear and tear.
- Please include your order confirmation or packing slip in the return parcel to help us identify your order quickly.
- Returns sent without prior authorisation may experience processing delays.

EU Returns Policy

If your BOGS® don’t suit, you may return them for a refund in line with the policy below.
We offer a simple €5 return label via our EU Returns Portal for most EU countries.
Returns from Switzerland are not accepted.
We do not offer exchanges. If you require a different size or style, please place a new order and return the original item for a refund.

Your Right to Cancel (EU Cooling-Off Period)

Under EU consumer law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
You then have a further 14 days to return the items.
We extend this to 30 days from your order date for standard returns.

Conditions for Refund

- Items must be returned within 30 days of the order date.
- Shoes must be unworn outdoors and in “as new” condition.
- Items must be returned in their original shoebox with labels attached.
- Please do not tape or attach labels directly to the shoebox - use suitable outer packaging.
- If returned items are worn, damaged, or soiled beyond reasonable inspection, we may reduce the refund to reflect any diminished value.

Most EU customers can purchase a €5 return label directly through the portal.

Follow the on-screen instructions, pack your shoes securely in their original shoebox (inside suitable outer packaging), include your return confirmation inside the parcel, and drop off as instructed.

Returns using the €5 label are sent to a local returns hub before being processed.

Using Your Own Courier

You may arrange your own return courier if preferred.
You must complete the return process online first and include your return confirmation inside the parcel.

If using your own courier:
- Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
- We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service.
- We are not responsible for items lost in transit.
- Please email hello@bogsfootwear-eu.com with your order number and tracking details once shipped.

Faulty Items

If you believe your item is faulty, please do not use the returns portal.
Instead, email hello@bogsfootwear-eu.com with:

- Your order number
- Clear photos of the issue (including the outsole)

If the item is confirmed faulty, we will cover the cost of return and provide instructions.
Your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law are not affected.

Refund Timing

Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of your return being received and inspected.
Refunds are issued to your original payment method via Shopify Payments (Stripe), PayPal, Klarna, or your selected payment provider.

Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or equivalent EU legislation.
You are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement if goods are faulty or not as described, and we will handle such cases in line with these regulations.
